During the summer months the children in our community do not have access to free school breakfast and lunch programs. To help meet the needs of those we serve the Food Pantry is in need of donations of the following items:
Breakfast Bars
Canned Fruit
Canned Pasta
Cookies
Crackers
Jell-O Cups/Pkgs.
Jelly
Kool-aid
Macaroni & Cheese
Peanut Butter
Pork & Beans
Pudding Cups                

Thank you for helping to feed children in need in our community!

In addition, we are in need of Rice, Jelly, Canned Juice & Corn Meal
 
Other special items that we always need:
  • Diapers (especially toddler sizes)
  • Toilet paper
  • Sample sizes toothpaste, shampoo, etc.

Program Statistics - 2009
 
¨       East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Inc. served 12,642 families in 2009 -  23,615 adults & 17,675 children.
¨       41,290 people were assisted through the Food Pantry.

¨       1,210 residents were provided financial assistance for rent/mortgage      and utilities.

¨       The value of food distributed in 2009 was $626,886.

¨       The amount of financial assistance provided in 2009 was $141,603.61.

 

¨       Because of the food provided by the Food Pantry:

·          17,024 children did not go hungry.

·          3,674 homebound senior citizens received food.

·          1,802 people were able to celebrate the holidays with a traditional holiday meal.

·          12,040 people received fresh fruit/produce and other food items during Food Fairs sponsored by the Houston Food Bank.

 

 

¨       Through the Financial Assistance Program:

·          655 people were allowed to remain in their homes.

·          374 children avoided becoming homeless.

·          233 families were able to keep their utilities connected.

 

 

¨       Through the Supply Our Students (S.O.S.) Program:

·          Over 501 school-aged youth received new school supplies.

 

 

¨       In 2009 volunteers contributed 22,311 hours to the Food Pantry, Financial Assistance Program, and Resale Shop valued at $379,827!
 
¨       East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, Inc. is a coalition of 26 local churches and congregations serving those in need within our community.
