FORT BEND EMPTY BOWLS 2012

AT SAFARI TEXAS RANCH
The 3rd Annual Fort Bend Empty Bowls, benefiting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, is set for Friday, March 23, 2012, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Safari Texas Ranch.
Last year’s event raised $30,000 for the Ministry, and this year our goal is to reach $50,000.
The theme of Fort Bend Empty Bowls is to serve guests a simple meal of soup and bread in recognition and support of those in our community who have less than enough food to eat.
The soup is being donated by area restaurants (Fish City Grill, Berryhills, Black-eyed Pea, Mission Burrito, Sweet Tomatoes – to name a few).
The evening will also include entertainment provided by local talent, as well as both silent and live auctions.
BOWL PAINTING: One of the featured attractions at the event will be ceramic soup bowls which will have been hand-painted and donated by individuals and groups throughout the community. These
bowls will be sold at the event to raise funds for the Ministry.
Painting a ceramic bowl is a fun way to help with the event. For only $10 you can create your own unique hand-painted bowl
which will be displayed at Fort Bend Empty Bowls and sold for $20 each.
All funds raised from the sale of the hand-painted soup bowls will be donated to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.
We have set up bowl painting days at the Ministry on the following designated days/time:
Wed., Feb. 8, Feb. 22 & Mar. 7th from 6 pm-8 pm
Sat., Feb. 18th from 10 am-noon
Thurs., Mar. 1st from 10 am-noon (FULL)
New date added - Thurs., Mar. 8th from 10 am - noon
Please note - space is limited; reserving your space to paint a bowl is necessary.
