Food Pantry Services
The Interfaith Food Pantry helps families and individuals living in East Fort Bend County during times of financial crisis by providing nutritious perishable and non-perishable groceries, household items and toiletries.
Referrals may come from area congregations or local social service agencies. Clients are seen on a first come, first served basis and are required to provide proper identification and proof of residency. Trained interviewers assess each situaion to determine how clients can best be served. Nutritionally complete food orders are customized to the size and specific needs of each household.
Hours of Operation:
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM; Wednesdays - 6:00 - 8:00 PM.
Full Food Order - Provides a family with groceries for approximately four days. Each nutritionally complete food order is tailored to the size and needs of each household. In addition to food items, full food orders include laundry detergent and toiletries. Qualified residents are limited to four full food orders per year.
Supplemental Food Order - Provides bread, milk and other food staples. This program is available to qualified residents every Wednesday evening and Friday on an as needed basis.
Food Fair Program - Food Fair is held every 4th Thursday of the month, except November and December. Clients listen to a short informational program, then receive a large order of fresh food compliments of the Houston Food Bank. The Food Fair Program is not zip code restricted.
Financial Assistance Program
Financial assistance is available to qualifying residents of East Fort Bend County to help with essential living expenses such as rent/mortgage and utilties. The focus is to provide needed aid for a temporary crisis situation, not to provide permanent support. Clients referred to the Ministry for financial assistance are interviewed by trained staff. Clients must provide proof of residence (i.e., utility bill) as well as a social security cards for each household member. Payments are made directly to the creditor and assistance is limited to one time per year.

Clients are seen by appointment only on Wednesdays. To make appointment, call 281-261-5470 on Tuesdays starting at 10:00 a.m.
Holiday Food Program
Holiday Food Baskets are distributed during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and include everything needed to cook a traditional holiday meal, including a turkey. Clients are required to sign up to receive a holiday basket on a specified day and then return to pick up the food on a designated day prior to the holiday.
S.O.S. Program (Supply our Students)
Each summer the S.O.S. program provides school supply packets to East Fort Bend County students from pre-K through 12th grade. Students must attend a school in Stafford Municipal or Fort Bend Independent School Districts. Clients are required to sign up on specified days during the summer and supplies are distributed in August prior to the start of the school year.
