The Chili Cook-Off is also a family-friendly event, with activities for kids and a s’mores station where families can gather around and enjoy a classic treat together. These elements help make the event a fun outing for guests of all ages.

While chili teams compete for bragging rights and recognition, the true purpose of the event is to bring the community together through food.

The Chili Cook-Off also supports the mission of East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. Through ticket sales, sponsorships, and community participation, the event helps raise funds that support programs and services that strengthen the community in Fort Bend County.

Teams from restaurants, businesses, organizations, and groups of friends are invited to participate in the competition by preparing their chili on site and serving samples to attendees and judges. Guests are encouraged to come hungry, taste as many entries as they like, and help decide which chili deserves the title of Fan Favorite.
